The ECW, formed in 1985, enjoys a continually growing membership. As an auxiliary organization, the ECW helps with social events for the church providing personal involvement and very often food and/or desserts We have coordinated such events as the Red Cross Blood Drive, the Fish and Chips Fundraiser, the Art Auction fundraiser and many other church sponsored events.
Other opportunities for stewardship are: working with the IHN when it is being hosted by St. Thomas Church and helping at the Harvest House, where a group from our church prepares and serves meals to the less fortunate at the Baptist Church in Sussex. We do this on the second Tuesday of each month from 10:30 - 1:00 during the day. We also direct volunteers and provide supplies for the Sunday morning brunch here at the church and also help at other times when we are needed. We welcome anyone who feels they would like to join our group. Just attend a meeting on the second Wednesday of each month at 7:30 PM. We usually meet in the undercroft, but if the church is in use, you will find us congregating in other meeting areas. Besides all the things we plan and work on, you'll find that it's a fun night out. We look forward to meeting you! |
